Dahlia Bucket - Peak Season Stems | 20 or 35 Stems
Available early August through late September
This is what our farm was built for.
Dahlias are our obsession — we grow more varieties than anything else on our property, and we spend the better part of the year waiting for August to come around. When it does, the field looks like nothing else in Central Alberta. Dinner plate dahlias the size of your face. Café au lait blooms in that impossible shade of blush-meets-peach. Deep burgundy balls and spiky cactus types and bi-colours that shouldn't work but somehow do.
This bucket is all of it — loosely bundled, freshly cut, and ready for whatever you're building.
Here's what makes farm-direct dahlias genuinely different: the dahlias in grocery stores and imported wholesale boxes have been in refrigerated transit for 10–21 days before they reach you. Ours were in the ground yesterday. The difference shows in petal density, stem rigidity, and how long they actually last in your vase. Properly cared for, fresh-cut local dahlias will last 6–8 days — sometimes longer. We include a care card with every bucket because it matters.
What's inside:
- 100% fresh-cut dahlias, mixed varieties and sizes
- A typical bucket includes a mix of dinner plate, standard decorative, ball, and café au lait types — the exact mix shifts weekly based on what's at peak
- Loosely bundled by colour family where possible
- Cut at the correct stage for 6–8 days of vase life with proper care
- We grow in peach, burgundy, white, yellow, blush, soft pink, purple, and bi-colour
20 stems — $90 Three to five arrangements, a generous centrepiece cluster, or a stunning single-variety vase display. A strong starting point for a small event or intimate dinner.
35 stems — $150 Six to ten arrangements, a full flower bar, a sweetheart table, or enough to confidently style an autumn micro-wedding. This is the bucket brides come back for every year.
Pre-order recommended. Order by Monday for Wednesday pickup.
Our most popular colour palettes — particularly the peach and café au lait range — go first. If you have a specific colour vision for an event, pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee we pull to match. Walk-up availability on market day is possible but never certain.
Typically available early August through late September — occasionally into mid-October depending on frost. We post end-of-season updates on Instagram and by email as harvest winds down, so if you're planning a late September or October event, sign up for our list and we'll keep you posted on timing.
Planning an autumn wedding? Dahlias at peak season — mid-August through mid-September — are genuinely some of the most extraordinary flowers you can source locally in Alberta. Reach out directly if you're working around a specific date and we'll talk through what we'll have ready.
